Pitti Imagine Uomo - The Cloud by MIT Mobile Experience Lab

The Cloud is an organic sculptural landmark that responds to human interaction located in the Piti welcome area. It expresses context awareness using it's senses (sensors), voice (sound), and light (optical fibers). The Cloud exam visitors to touch and interact in new ways. It can sense people as room as they approach, see them and feel them when it is touched. Manifesting emotions and behavior through sound and light. Hundreds of sensors and over 15,371 individually addressacale optical fibers. Constructed of carbon glass, containing more than 65 kilometers of fiber optics. The Cloud is part of the "Responding Fashion Trade Shows" long term project that Pitti Imagine launched with MIT Mobile Experience Lab in January 2007. Www.thecloud.ws
