Plastic shoes are among the latest fashion trends for next Summer, even top designers are doing them, very pretty pumps in very pretty plastic at highly pretty prices...also sandals, flat or with a wedge, strapped at the ankle or across the vamp. The effect is very showy, as plastic enhances bright colours more than any other material. It all started when the old Wellie changed f'rom its usual sober black or khaki, a couple of seasons ago, to a variety of flowers, stripes and polka dots. Lack of comfort may be a drawback, though, they can be worn to and from the beach, but all day in town in a sweaty heat, you just try that...I did and, whatever the make or price, you may well end up with your feet floating in your shoes because, despite the quality, plastic will be plastic.
Practical considerations aside - as a buyer, I would be most circumspect about purchasing more than a couple of models for the season to start with - plastic shoes mould themselves to your foot and can be very becoming and new, a way away form the sad, brown (yes, they were ALWAYS brown) rubber sandals worn in the '50s and '60s by practical German holidaymakers.
One could argue that wiring fashion with iPod cables or LCD screens is still in it's most rudimentary phases for a fashion lover. The LCD's still glare out flashing across belts in a carnival, freakish, circus way--but one can't blame the geeks for lack of aesthetics, at least they are trying harder than the high fashion designers to integrate.
Although not flashing their style down the Paris catwalks, it's interesting to note that clothing brand Polartech--the inventors of synthetic fleece fabric--have now taken a stab at integrating heated panels into their jackets--something that we can imagine can bleed into snowboarding and sport fashion easily.
The panels (1 - 2) seem flexible enough and are battery operated. Innovative heat panels use a conductive fabric instead of wires to heat up. Now you will have to juggle two remote controls as you jog in central park or shush down Mt. Blanc, because this system has a wireless remote control. The contoured rechargeable battery delivers 2 hours of heat on high, 3 hours of heat on medium, and 6 hours of heat on low.
In our opinion Polartech should work together with Argentinian designer, Dorina Vidoni, who uses a great deal of synthetic fleece in her collection year after year. It could lead to a stylish fashion collection with built in technology to keep women warm when outside at the next fall fashion party.

Knitted the body in the round up to the armhole point, then knitted the
front and back separately back and forth. Sleeves are knitted according
to the pattern, but used the size for 40/41 instead because the sleeves
for 38/39 seemed to turn out tiny. I substituted the small striping

Lenka has been the star of the day, posing like a topmodel and still 16en, amazing job made by a young but already great model (whynot models), we all liked her attitude, she is totally online with Nikki Lifestyle mood
At the end of the day, with our faces sun burned we chilled having an aperitivo at Fusion in Florence, Lenka & Stephan left but for sure we will see them again in Cannes during the Film Festival... we mean their faces on placards around and Nikki Lifestyle launch party... see you there!
