Conny Groenewegen launched her label CG in 2006 after a combined study in art and fashion at the Willem de Kooning academy.
CG is known for the attention to the skin of the garment using digital techniques combined with traditional crafts. The shapes are soft and feminine, graphic and light with a strong personal quality.
There is no sound in this video because everyone at the venue was wearing headsets projecting the music, so unless you had a headset, you were not able to hear any music.

International topmodel Lonneke Engel has been asked to be the ambassador of the Green Fashion Competition. In this video she explains why she decided to join this cause and that she is very proud to be a part of it. If you ask her everybody should enter into this competition because you have amazing chances.
Besides the many financial prizes with 25.000 euro’s promissed to the winner, the selected teams will receive business workshops how to make their brand succesful. Because the competition is all about mixing eco with profit! This is a very powerful message and a great opportunity for emerging designers in this time of crisis. Things need to change! People need to start thinking about innovative design with regard to planet, people and animals. But also turn this switch in their heads, because money needs to be made more than ever! In a country where artists are afraid that their funding will be cut because of the new government, it is quit special to have a chance to win so much money and knowledge!
360Fashion will be closely watching this competition unfold. And secretly preparing to participate with our own special project!
Our first pick from the fashion conscious contributors to ‘Life in a Day’ project by Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald. This entry is about fashion editor & stylist Stevie Wilson who made a how-to video about using your wardrobe. She shows us the trends which she follows and talks about how we can use them through the day to create different looks, from work to a night out using the same garments. Stevie also takes the time to answer the 3 questions asked by Kevin Macdonald for the Life in a Day project.
An experienced, “with a twist” writer of fashion/beauty/ lifestyle, profiles, and fitness for regional, national and online magazines, Stevie Wilson’s writing persona ranges from “girl-talk” to authoritative. Her low-key yet incisive interviewing skill allows the subject to reveal the real person behind the image. Bestselling fiction writer, Lisa Glatt, stated that Stevie Wilson is a “gifted interviewer”. Celebrity events have a “you are there” presentation.
Stevie Wilson pioneered the “marriage” of the Web with traditional retail, by organizing online community events at Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys, Bloomingdales and Sephora stores.
As US Bureau Chief (2004-2005), Wilson launched Lucire, a leading fashion website, into print: hiring/supervising 10 writers; creating editorial calendar and more.
Formerly, Stevie was fashion editor for Orange Coast Magazine and executive editor for Fashiontribes.com. She is the creator of L.A. Story, a lifestyle blog covering West Coast fashion, beauty special events and profiles as well as a prolific freelance writer and savvy marketing consultant.
Coinciding with Kershaw’s arrival comes news of a short film made by American photographer Ryan McGinley for a South Korean fashion brand. The film depicts Kershaw fleeing some unidentified adversary by climbing to the top of a building and jumping off - several times, to show the fall in slomo in various outfits. [frockwriter]
Daryl van Wouw was in popular demand during this season of Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The designer surprised me with the elegance and haute couture aspects in his streetwear. In the Netherlands he is the only designer who executes this combination successfully. There is no one to rival Daryl in his understanding of balance between high end and streetwear. This season Daryl’s designs seem mature and the presentation has an absolute wow effect! In overall the show made me feel like I was participating in the birth of a new galaxy versus a ritual to celebrate this event by a tribe of fashionable amazons.
The collection is fresh yet the textile work on the dresses had something ethnic and nostalgic. I am very curious about the technique which was used to achieve this plicé effect. It looked like the dresses were formed from a solid piece of fabric which was taken in to form tubes all around the body to shape the garment. The clothes were sexy and feminine with a fierce Amazon touch in the styling. I think it is a great summer collection, very wearable yet something special!
I was in particularly ecstatic about the show. It took place in the main catwalk hall where huge screens were video’s were projected on huge screens all around the public. At Daryl’s show the video was an ongoing mystical mixture of colours as if they were forming a new universe. The models were walking back and forth on the huge catwalk on an extremely catchy beat. Even before the show the music was great, wherein short samples of songs were mixed together and repeated over and over again to create something completely new!
The ending of the show reminded me of a mystical happening. While the models circled around accompanied by a mystic low sound which made my whole body tremble. Then finally the lights went out and the models formed a square which was lit my flashes of white light as they disappeared into the darkness.
